SERVING:
We aren’t a church that just wants to fill up our seats but we passionately believe that everybody has a part to play, whatever age or ability. Some help out at the Storehouse, some serve tea and coffee, some are involved with the kids and youth, some set up and pack down on Sundays, some play in the bands, some make sure the sound is just right, some lead small groups or help on the Alpha course, and some volunteer in the office. We encourage everybody who is part of Southend Vineyard to help out at least once a month on one of the Sunday teams. Many do much more. This is how it works – get in (to the church), get blessed, get trained and get out (go and serve others)! Some people even go off to plant new churches. What is God calling you to do?
CHURCH PLANTING:
The Vineyard is a Church planting movement, committed to planting churches that will plant more churches. We find that planting a new church is a really effective way of reaching those who don’t know Jesus. In recent years people have gone from Southend to Rayleigh, Leicester, Chelmsford and Ashford (Kent) to plant new churches. We also have very close ties to the church plant in Colchester. Our aim is to send out more couples and teams in the coming years. Please pray for those involved in mission whether locally through the Southend Vineyard Storehouse, local and UK church plants or globally. If you would like to support these ministries please email julie@southendvineyard.org.uk.
